Missions

The word 'Missions' can creates some pretty powerful images for people. Images like living and working in the far, isolated reaches of the world. While it is true that Pacific Church is a part of a network of people who live out their faith throughout the world, we also strongly believe that each of us, as a follower of Jesus, is called to missions. Our personal mission is being the person God calls us to be in whatever place we do life.

Greg

After growing up in Coquitlam, the Lord called Greg specifically to serve Istanbul during a worship night. Greg looks forward to ministering to Muslims in the city through evangelism and a healing prayer ministry. After the initial 2 years of language learning, Greg plans to stay in Turkey on a work visa as an actuary. Greg will be initially living with a Turkish family to accelerate the language and cultural learning process. The church-planting team Greg is joining is passionate to see the Holy Spirit bring supernatural revival to all of Turkish society. Pray for the team as it deals with threats from the community regularly. Turkey is presently 99.3% Muslim. Out of the entire population of 70,000,000, there are presently 3,000 Turkish Christians.

Prayer Requests
•    Encouragement for the missionaries and Turkish believers who face consistent threats and opposition from the community
•    That Christians would be seen as a blessing to city of Istanbul in the eyes of business leaders and government officials
•    Praise the Lord for continued healings, signs, and wonders demonstrating the power of the Spirit of Christ to the Turkish people.
•    Pray that Greg would meet 1 close Christian brother to be a source of fellowship during language learning
•    Pray for favour with making new Muslim friends in the community

Paul Fieber has been living out his faith in Vancouver working for a local software development company...until recently. At the end of February Paul returned to Kabul, Afghanistan where he is helping build the infrustructure to this country.

Please check Paul's bio regularly for updates and specific ways we can pray for Paul. As he travels to and settles in Kabul please pray for his daily safety and that he would quickly find a supportive network of friends.
