People experience God in many different ways.
We have experiences as children, in nature, in defining moments of our life, through music; times where we sense that God exists. One of the things the Bible tells us is that not only can God be experienced, but actually that 'in God we live and move and have our being', and that 'God gives life and breath to everything, and satisfies every need there is' (Acts 17:28, 25).
In other words, 'God' isn't only a concept to be explored, but a Person to be experienced and, once experienced, who radically transforms our lives.
At Pacific Church in Yaletown, downtown Vancouver, we realize that church isn't necessarily the first place people look to experience God. But we believe that the church exists for the very purpose of helping people discover and grow in a relationship with God.
Activities like weekly worship gatherings, Life Groups (small groups of people who meet together regularly to build into each other's lives through conversation and spiritual habits), the Alpha Course that provides a setting to investigate the claims of Jesus and consider the question, 'is there more to life than this', Streetlight street ministry with U.G.M., and other opportunities to make a difference in the communities of

Yaletown, downtown Vancouver, metro Vancouver, and around the world, are safe places for seeking people to ask questions and search out God as well as an opportunity for Christ followers to live out a 'deeper' faith.
Ultimately Pacific isn't about doing church or empty religious traditions; it is about being the church and experiencing the adventure of life the way God created it to be.
